"But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Matthew 6:33 -KJV
Our Approach To The Lost
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. –
How encouraging it is to know that you don’t have to have a qualifying resume or undeniable skills or the luxury of nepotism to obtain everlasting life! –
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
God’s unmerited favor is bestowed upon you when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart the Lord Jesus, that God raised Him from the dead, salvation will be yours. There is no better assurance than this. Now we share the most controversial and overlooked question the scripture itself asks -
Acts 19:2-6 Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. –
Believing in and on The Lord Jesus is priority, however the receiving of the Holy Ghost is essential in order to walk by faith. John the Baptist, baptizing in the Jordan River, also in the wilderness preaching repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, was necessary. The water baptism was unto repentance also symbolizing the death burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, however it isn’t the finalization of your transformation in Christ, you need the baptism of the Holy Ghost, which is the power of God.
Yours, Mine, Ours.
Mark 7:25-27 For a certain woman, whose -- young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
-- The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
The beautiful thing about believing in Jesus is that you become a child of the Kingdom, which simply means you belong to God. What I find refreshing about belonging to God is that it comes with benefits that the sinner man is not privy to. God has designed for healing and deliverance to be, yours, mine, ours…..
Kingdom Authority Given by God
John 14:12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
The simple fact that we are believers in Christ Jesus, there is a greater work that beholds us. Having the power of the Holy Ghost makes it completely exciting to know that we have the authority to overcome the wicked one. There is absolutely no reason to be afraid of demons when they are subject to us. I want you to understand that in the name of Jesus we have the power to expel demons from people, places, and things. Once you come to this knowledge you will rejoice forever.
